About the Role

Hickeys Timber Mart is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join their team in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. This position involves developing and maintaining various software applications and providing client support.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will write, modify, integrate, and test software code for diverse applications, including e-commerce, Internet-based platforms, and animation/special effects software. Key duties include maintaining existing computer programs, communicating technical issues and solutions, and preparing documentation on software status and operations. The role also involves assisting in the collection of user requirements, developing logical and physical specifications, and researching software products. Managing incidents, working with JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), and robotic process automation are also part of the responsibilities. Post-sale client consultation for ongoing support is required.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development is required for this position.
