About the Role

South Asian Mart is hiring a Retail Store Supervisor in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This position is open to international candidates and is Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) positive.

Responsibilities

As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of various staff members, including sales workers, office staff, and volunteers. Your duties will include assigning tasks to sales workers and establishing work schedules to ensure smooth operations.

You will also be responsible for hiring and training staff or arranging for their training. Key operational tasks involve managing cash, authorizing payments by cheque, and authorizing the return of merchandise. Furthermore, you will organize and maintain inventory within the store.

A crucial part of this role involves resolving issues that may arise, such as addressing customer requests and complaints, and managing supply shortages to maintain customer satisfaction and efficient store functioning.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. The position requires 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
