Midori Gifts is seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Manager in Kingston, Ontario. This role is central to managing the daily operations of a retail establishment and contributing to its strategic direction.

The position involves a fast-paced environment and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

The Retail Sales Manager will direct, control, plan, and organize daily retail operations. This includes managing staff, assigning duties, and conducting performance reviews for 1 to 2 employees and volunteers. Key tasks involve studying market research and trends to assess consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors.

The role also encompasses determining merchandise and services for sale, implementing price and credit policies, and procuring goods for resale. Developing and implementing marketing strategies, planning budgets, and monitoring revenues and expenses are also core duties. Furthermore, the manager will determine staffing requirements, resolve issues such as customer requests and supply shortages, and oversee payroll administration.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a College/CEGEP education. A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent oral communication, flexibility, organization, and a team-player attitude.
