About the Role

Cabot Cape Breton is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Room Attendant for their operations in Inverness, Nova Scotia. This role is crucial for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and guest comfort within the facility.

Responsibilities

Key duties include sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, as well as dusting furniture. The attendant will vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, along with making beds and changing sheets. Distributing clean towels and toiletries, stocking linen closets, and cleaning and disinfecting kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances are also required. Other tasks involve disinfecting operating rooms and other areas, cleaning and disinfecting elevators, and handling and reporting lost and found items. Attendants will attend to guests' requests for extra supplies, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris, and empty trash containers. Performing light housekeeping, washing windows, walls, and ceilings, and cleaning changing rooms and showers are also part of the role. Addressing customers' complaints or concerns is expected.

Requirements

No specific degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position. Candidates should have 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience. The role offers various employment terms including early morning, evening, morning, night, day, and weekend shifts.
