About the Role

Dunbar Painting Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Painter to join their team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role involves working in various environments, including outdoors and at heights.

Responsibilities

Key tasks include preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces for painting, as well as repairing cracks and holes. You will be responsible for mixing paint to achieve desired colours and textures. The role also involves measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper and other fabric to walls, and advising consumers on colour choices and wall coverings. Duties extend to erecting scaffolding and swing stages, attaching rigging, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces. Estimating costs and materials for projects is also part of the role.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years. A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field is required. Experience with various equipment and machinery is essential, including airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, patterned rollers, roller painting, and thermal spray equipment.
