Northern Equipment Services Inc is seeking a Construction Labourer in Timmins, Ontario. This position involves duties and responsibilities that contribute to positive environmental outcomes, classifying it as a green job.
Responsibilities
Key tasks include loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials. Workers will erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades. They will assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction and perform routine maintenance work. Other duties involve cleaning and piling salvaged materials, cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants, and removing rubble and other debris at construction sites. Labourers will also tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, direct traffic at or near construction sites, operate two-way radios, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
Requirements
Candidates should have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field. No specific degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role. Experience with hand tools and pressure washers is an asset. The language requirement for this position is English.
